NCB to open branch in Kosovo

Prishtinė, 29 Novemnber 2006 - Lajm reports The National Commercial Bank (NCB), the second largest bank in Albania, may soon open a branch in Pristina.

According to Lajm, the Board of Directors of the Central Banking Authority of Kosovo (CBAK) has approved a preliminary operation license to NCB. Until the end of the year NCB should meet additional criteria in order to get the final license.

NCB is a shareholding bank. Calik-Seker Konsorsiyum Yatirim A.S. owns 60% of shares, while EBRD and International Financial Corporation 20% of share each.
