Kosovo, Belgium sign investment protection treaty

Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Yves Leterme, on behalf of Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union signed in Prishtina the Agreement for the promotion and protection of investments.

Prime Minister Thaci stated the goal of the Government of Kosovo to deepen cooperation between two countries in all areas.

"Investors from Belgium are welcomed. Kosovo is creating a good investment climate and offers many new opportunities", said Prime Minister Thaci.

Belgian Prime Minister Leterme praised the bilateral relations with Kosovo as excellent and said they will be deepened, in particular in the field of economy.

"Kosovo needs more economic development; many decisions are currently being taken in energy sector and the telecom. We will help you and support the investments of Belgian companies in Kosovo” said Leterme.
